http://failblog.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/epic-fail-candy-man-fail.jpg

Come wish me a happy Birthday in my van down by the river.
You know you want to.
It's on the 16th.
The password is "Citrus Punch".
You know you want to come.
Get the free candy.
Down by the river.
You see this object in my hand?
It's candy.
It only looks like a lazer gun that kills people. It's harmless~!

JEALOUSY

Okay, I'm avoiding homework pretty much at all costs, so I'm going around and looking at EVERYONE'S blogs. And updating mine repeatedly. (I'm sure the ice cream/coffee beverage I consumed is contributing to the rapid updates and insane amount of exclamation points) I became jealous when I saw some of the creepy artwork some of the guys had- I NEED THE DARKNESS AS WELL! Although I do enjoy some 'happy' art... dark is usually more emotion provoking and insanely epic and unusual. I feel that my blog does not show my taste for the dark arts enough. So.

Avada Kadevra!
Creepy artwork by people that is cool!

Dude... Eric Rue... <3 artistsid="1" border="0" alt="Fountain of Youth 3" src="http://blackfish.com/images/photos/ERFountainYouth3_w.jpg">
I love the swirly lines, and how pretty and random it is while looking solid and stable at the same time, like actual objects. The colors, although a bit... off looking for my taste, is done nicely and makes it look more solid. I like the black and white ones better- the creativity springing from the page makes the eye look with excitement around the entire piece, and the lines flow nicely with each other. It also has wonderful rhythm- almost like the piece is dancing to jazz or (I guess it's because I watch too much anime) J-Pop. The depth seems to add to the realistic feel to it- although it's dancing and popping around the page, the artist gave a good sense of depth that helps give the dancing effect. Overall I love the randomosity yet together and stableness of it all.

John Baselmans-
Most of his work- actually, almost all of it- seems to be done in graphite, pen, and pastel. I really like how he incorporates his love for drawing animals into his love for drawing people, and seems to make them work beautifully together. He also uses very little color in his works, which whenever it's seen it stands out and makes a bold statement to the piece. It's all very simple, yet very detailed and has learned to not lose control with the elements in the piece by going crazy in the back and front.

Proud to be, proud to be me~!

Dude, this is AWESOME: Link

I love studying human rights... African-American rights, gay rights, women rights- all of it. Although, while studying black rights in history, I nearly cried from each of the clips Ms. Sowers showed us. It's like... no. Bad Americans. Bad, bad, BAD.
Women rights and gay rights pretty much go hand in hand. Gals are like "Dude, stop being SEXIST. JERKS." then gay rights are like, "Dude, let us love who we want. Just cuz I'm a girl, doesn't mean I have to love a guy. Just cuz I'm a guy, doesn't mean I have to love a girl. Don't be sexist. JERKS."

And then the religious people are like, "WE IZ PERFECT. BE LIKE US." But then they hide the 'imperfections'. That's when gay aunts and uncles get in the way, then the non-religious people are like, "dude, you're a hypocrite. you're related to a gay dude/girl." And then the religious person is like "they're sick, God will guide them to the heterosexual path of life."

And then I'm like, "NO. BAD CHRISTIANS AND RELIGIOUS FOLK."

Then the computer screen is like, "...".

And this is also when the quote, "I wish Jesus would come back and say, THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!" (Margaret Cho) comes in.

I've had many rants about these rights... but they all boil down to the same things. Legally, same sex marriage should be legal in every state since religion is not supposed to be in state. In the legal system, a married couple get certain things from the state not for being religious or being man and woman, but because they are legally seen as living together and thus should get a few things from the state for being a couple. It has nothing to do with the church, and because religion has no place in politics, same sex couples legally should be legal. Actually, it's almost like when African-Americans fought for their rights. The constitution says that everyone is equal- but that's not what the People go by because of their past or religious background.

Being gay isn't something you choose. You don't wake up one morning and say, "ya know what? The opposite sex is annoying. I'm going to be gay!" The only choice you have is whether or not to be proud of it.

Why can't the world live in peace, and stop being ignorant morons that hate on anything different? Just accept it, move on, or if they don't like it, shut their mouth or give some hugs instead of punches. The world would be SO much more fun if everyone lived like that.

Some of my favorite quotes:

"Its not rape. Its surprise sex." -Anonymous

"War. Rape. Murder. Poverty. Equal rights for gays. Guess which one the Southern Baptist Convention is protesting?" -The Value of Families

"I like my beers cold and my homosexuals flaming." -Unknown

"If homosexuality is a disease, let's all call in queer to work: "Hello. Can't work today, still queer." -Robin Tyler

"Soldiers who are not afraid of guns, bombs, capture, torture or death say they are afraid of homosexuals. Clearly we should not be used as soldiers; we should be used as weapons." -Letter to the editor, The Advocate

"The one bonus of not lifting the ban on gays in the military is that the next time the government mandates a draft we can all declare homosexuality instead of running off to Canada." -Lorne Bloch

"Why can't they have gay people in the army? Personally, I think they are just afraid of a thousand guys with M16s going, "Who'd you call a faggot?"" -John Stewart
"I think it's about time we voted for senators with breasts. After all, we've been voting for boobs long enough." ~Clarie Sargent, Arizona senatorial candidate

I became a feminist as an alternative to becoming a masochist. ~Sally Kempton, attributed

There is a special place in hell for women who do not help other women. ~Madeleine K. Albright

There are very few jobs that actually require a penis or vagina. All other jobs should be open to everybody. ~Florynce Kennedy

It matters more what's in a woman's face than what's on it. ~Claudette Colbert, quoted in Kindling the Spirit by Lois P. Frankel

[Feminism is] a socialist, anti-family, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians. ~Pat Robertson

(comment on above quote) Oh my, that explains SO MUCH. No wonder I want to kill my children and become a lesbian! Avada kedavra! -Me
