Rocked You
Like a Hurricane
So, I stayed home alone last night. And another night last week, but unlike last week, I couldn't chat with anyone over text on the account that they had fallen asleep.
Now, I used to know the previous owners of this house. I also know where they died: inside. In the little hallway outside the bathroom leading into the living room.
Creepy ass shit.
Anywho.
School is almost out! Woo hoo! Can't wait to start PCC and go to OCF this year and also attend a Reggae festival. Will there be stoners at all of them? Most likely. Will I care? Hardly.

I see the mountain
So, my dad's friend from Venezuela is visiting, and I've been hearing nonstop story after story from her and our neighbor as they go back and forth with stories. Our neighbor, also my dad's girlfriend, has pretty much traveled the world, and so has Yolanda, the woman from Venezuela. Sooo many stories... not sure if that's good or bad....
She also thinks my artwork is pretty neat...
She also goes to the Dances, which is short for 'Dances of Universal Peace', like before mentioned neighbor and parental unit. Dad meets a lot of girls there....
Anywho, the Dances are pretty cool. More so for the older generation, but they love when teenagers join in. I'd be more up for going if more kids my age went, or if they did less 'God' oriented ones.... If you're into Peace and God (not just Christian God, but any/all Gods) you should check it out. Yeah.

Anyway you want it
Might as well get this out of the way for the next time I need to update it.
My Spring Break consisted of: Sleepover, lounging around, going to my dad's, getting massive annoying blisters on my hands from doing yardwork at said dad's, and then going home to hide in my room while family came over and swarmed in my living room.
Not bad, not good. Kinda wished I could have gone snowboarding, but alas, that's life... I miss the snow... :(
Anywho, something art related to post... I guess I'll post my concentration pieces I'm turning in tomorrow?

Welcome to
So, this site is weird... it doesn't acknowledge that I'm logged in unless I go the 'log in' button and take me directly to my account. (It usually has 'dashboard' and other account links up in the top right corner instead of 'log in') Whenever I try to post a comment on someone's blog, whatever I had typed disappears and it acts like nothing happened.
Weird. :/
So, stumbleupon thinks I am three things: Sadistic, obsessed with rap, and a spray painting fanatic. Though, I have discovered some pretty bad ass rap artists and awesome spray paint designs on various objects around the world this way. http://graffiti.org/la/la_1.html

I play my part
(Above photo is mine)
Might as well get the blog post thing out of the way, since I'll probably forget to do it Sunday and it's easier to do it closer to the beginning of the week.... Though, I'm suddenly feeling extremely uninspired art wise. Especially since my head is filled with "ACK, dating and girls and stupid girls and girls ex boyfriends and whaaaaaaat." at the moment.
Oldies music helps. Anywho. Art:
I discovered the 'trace line' effect on one of my programs, and am now overusing it. IT'S SO MUCH FUN!!! It can make any of sketchy drawings look more smooth and professional. I LOVE IT. Like, I can do sketches wonderfully, but I can never get a good smooth line in the end result. But now I caaaaan with Illustratorrrrr~

Hey Soul Sister
So... blogger.com seems to not want to post my comments. >:P
Taylor C's:
I find it interesting that I almost always disagree with other art students when it comes to art. Although I like the third piece and think it's nicely done, it seems too... commercially. Like it's a computer graphic. It has great color, black lines, and the fact that's in the middle front and center makes it stand out and create a sound overall feeling to it. I think you should add something to the background, though, like some spaceships or gases leaking from the planet back there.
I like the last one best, but I think it's because it reminds me of a spray painted piece I saw once that used a similar style. It's cool nonetheless. Because of the large space towards the middle right, and how there's less space on the other side, it almost looks like a path. It feels like you're gliding along an invisible path through the stars and planets. :)
As for the second piece, I LOVE how they turned out, but you do need a different background or way to present them. I think it would be neat if you had a blue print kind of thing as the background.
Overall very nice, all of the pieces work with your concentration. Keep rockin'. :)
Allie M's:
I really love how you did the cards piece. The value and quality of the cards are done nicely and the simplicity of it really works. Although I think have it black and white is cool, I think that it should have a little bit of color, though. Like have the hearts colored in, that way you can put more emphasis on the 'Queen of Hearts' idea.
Not really digging the other piece. (the mushroom one) I like how bold you were with the colors, but it seems like it's all the same shade and there's not enough contrast. Maybe darkening the shadows as you go further and further back? I think the main mushroom that's covering half of the piece is a nice part of the piece, but it needs to contrast more with the other mushrooms in the front- maybe make the mushrooms in the front lighter? (adding to contrast) As for the Caterpillar-you said in the comment that you wanted to make him more noticeable- what if you make the perspective from his eyes? Like he's the one sitting under the mushroom gazing out at the other mushrooms?
Love your concentration and think it's awesome. :) (My middle name on facebook is 'futterwacken'. just a little side note.)
Lucas S's:
I enjoy your style and concentration theme. It's a bit darker than the other ones in the class, and I think it's cooler than just going with something clean and 'nice'. Your style is gross and awesome. :D
Any who, your pieces. I like the first one and how you don't show the jaw, neck or shoulders. The little color you used is nicely woven into the piece and not overused. It's difficult to read the quote, not sure how you'd fix that. Also, I think you could do without all the extra space. Like, the first photo is a close-up of it, and I find it easier to look at rather than floating awkwardly.
The other piece: I like the mixed textures/styles of it. The line quality is AWESOME. (I've seen a lot of artwork recently that kind of failed with it... so see art that the lines aren't messed up and bugging me is unusual) The only part about the piece that annoys me are the lines at the top from the eyes. It's not really necessary for the point, and although it makes it more 'face like' you have other pieces that you have random body parts floating around, so it wouldn't be odd. Overall both pieces work nicely with your theme.
Those are my two cents. Peace.

Hey yo Captain Jack
Run along with Captain Jack
My concentration: Shapeshifters
The first one is an Ekek, who are creatures that are bird-like humans. They are winged-humans who search for victims at night. They hunger for flesh and blood. In some versions, they shift into a human form during the day.
They remind me a lot of aswangs... both like eating fetuses... ew.
The second one is another alp piece. I'm mostly going to take the other alp one out and replace it with another one, so that I don't have two alp pieces.... Alps: An alp is typically male, while the mara and mart appear to be more feminine versions of the same creature. Its victims are often females,[1][2][3] whom it attacks during the night, controlling their dreams and creating horrible nightmares (hence the german word Alptraum ("elf dream"), meaning a nightmare). An alp attack is called an Alpdruck, or often Alpdrücke, which means "elf pressure". Alpdruck is when an alp sits astride a sleeper's chest and becomes heavier until the crushing weight awakens the terrified and breathless dreamer. The alp is best known for its shape-shifting abilities, similar to the creatures from werewolf lore. It may change into a cat, pig, dog, snake or a small white butterfly.[6] It has also been said that it can fly like a bird and ride a horse. The alp always wears a hat, giving it an almost comical appearance.[1][6][4] The hat is known as a Tarnkappe[6] (the literal translation being "camouflage cap" or "cap of concealment") which is simply a hat (or less commonly a veil) that gives the alp magic powers and the ability to turn invisible while worn (see also cloak of invisibility). The hat is visible no matter what shape the alp takes. An alp who has lost this hat will offer a great reward for its safe return.[1] The alp also possesses an "evil eye" whose gaze will inflict illness and misfortune. Removing or damaging this eye also removes the alp's malicious intentions.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alp_%28folklore%29
